Buddy's Ball Walls and Sporting Goods is your classic mom and pop operation, founded by lacrosse fans who understood the good and the bad of the lacrosse equipment market.

Nowhere is this more true than with rebounders, where there's a vast gap in the quality and price of what's available.

Entry-level rebounders sell for under $200, but you really do get what you pay for: the bounce-back isn't strong enough and they tend to fall apart after a couple years outside. We can say this as the owners of several of them throughout the years.

At the other end of the market, high-end rebounders can cost $900 and more -- although to be fair, they're worth it: throw against an All Ball Pro or LaxWorx wall and you'll understand why they cost what they do.

Between those two ends... there really isn't much else.

Enter The Buddy Wall

With an interest in DIY projects, we started tinkering with different bounceback designs using materials purchased from the hardware store.

People have been building goals and bouncebacks for years -- I built my own with PVC pipe as a kid.

Reddit and YouTube are loaded with tutorials on how to build your own backyard rebounder from parents in a similar boat: wanting a quality rebounder for their kids to practice on, and without breaking the bank. 

Over the course of many trips to the hardware store and many prototypes, we hit on a winning formula, developing a rebounder that's:

Today, Ball Walls remains a family-run operation in Northeast Florida, with each wall shipped carrying a bit of the our dedication and love for the sport.

Who's Buddy? 

Buddy is every guy everywhere who saw a need for something and built it. Everyone's got a buddy.

What's with the Name?

Buddy is a spirit, a life-guiding ethos of challenging norms and doing things yourself.

Our first product is named The Buddy Wall for two reasons.

One, because it's the kind of thing you might see in a buddy's backyard -- something unique and functional, a clever response to a need, and something you probably haven't seen before.

But it's also called the Buddy Wall because it's an extension of you and your training. The Buddy Wall is like a friend you can take anywhere who's always down to have a throw.

Thanks to its wheels, handle and built-in stand, it's easy to pack up and hit the road with you as circumstances warrant. And you can always count on getting a solid feed from anywhere on the field.

The Buddy Wall is your training buddy.
